Fédération Internationale de Football Association(FIFA) has announced that Qatar will host the FIFA U17 World Cup finals for the next five years, from 2025 to 2029.
Expanding the FIFA U17 World Cup finals marks a significant shift in the landscape of youth football on a global scale. By increasing the frequency of the tournament and doubling the number of participating teams from 24 to 48, FIFA aims to foster more significant development and competition in youth football across the world.
And from the announcement of Qatar being the host for the past 5 years also resulted in the Qatar U17 national team qualifying for the final round as host. It is the first final round in 20 years and has also passed without having to compete in qualifying rounds for the past 5 years.
In addition, FIFA also announced that Morocco will host the final round of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup throughout the coming 5 years from 2025 until 2029 as well, and as a result, the Morocco U17 Women’s National Football Team has qualified for the final round as host for all 5 years.
