Amateur Football League (AFL) has officially confirmed the participation of 16 teams for the upcoming Liga A1 Semi-Pro 2025/26 season, with four more clubs recently approved after fulfilling key requirements.
Among the latest additions are Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDA FC), Guar Syed Alwi FC (GSA FC), South Korea’s FC Seoul Phoenix, and UM-Damansara United, who join 12 other previously confirmed teams.
AFL Chairman Datuk Wira Mohd Yusoff Mahadi revealed that the aforementioned clubs had initially received conditional approval pending the submission of specific documentation and compliance with the league’s operational criteria.
“Kedah Darul Aman FC, Guar Syed Alwi FC, and FC Seoul Phoenix have now fully met the requirements and are officially confirmed for the 2025–2026 Liga A1 Semi-Pro season,” he announced.
In addition, UM-Damansara United, previously listed as a reserve team alongside Ipoh City FC, has now secured full entry after successfully completing all verification processes.
“UM-Damansara United has fulfilled the same evaluation standards as all other competing teams, and their inclusion brings the total number of confirmed participants to 16,” Yusoff added.
“As for Ipoh City FC, the club has formally withdrawn from the competition.”
