Football Association of Malaysia has officially announced the 30-player provisional squad selected by Malaysia U23 national team head coach Nafuzi Zain for the central training camp beginning Tuesday, 1 July 2025, as part of preparations for the upcoming Mandiri ASEAN U-23 Cup in Jakarta, Indonesia.
This training camp will serve as the final phase of evaluation before trimming the squad down to 23 players, who will then represent Malaysia in the prestigious regional tournament starting 15 July 2025 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

The Mandiri ASEAN U-23 Cup 2025 will be a key platform for Malaysia’s next generation to shine at the regional level. Coach Nafuzi Zain and his technical team are optimistic that this preparation phase will deliver a team capable of making a strong impact in Jakarta.
To fine-tune the team’s tactical and physical readiness, the coaching staff has arranged three friendly matches against Malaysia Super League clubs:
- 5 July: vs PDRM FC
- 8 July: vs Melaka FC
- 11 July: vs Negeri Sembilan FC
These warm-up games will provide vital match exposure before the team flies to Jakarta on 13 July.
- 15 July: vs Philippines
- 18 July: vs Brunei
- 21 July: vs Indonesia (host nation) (All matches will be played at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium)
