Hafizh Syahrin from JDT Racing Team capped off an impressive debut season in the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2024 by clinching third place overall in the ASB1000 category.
Despite a challenging final race at the Chang International Circuit, Thailand, Hafizh displayed resilience and skill throughout the season, firmly establishing himself as a top contender.
In the season’s final race, Hafizh, representing the JDT Racing Team, started from Grid 11 and delivered a solid performance for most of the race. However, an incident at the turn 3rd in the last lap caused him to lose pace, ultimately finishing at P10 with the fastest lap time of 1:35.851 minutes, trailing the race winner Yuki Kunii of the SDG Team HARC-PRO Honda Ph. by 43.617 seconds.
Hafizh ends the season with 154 points from 11 races across 6 rounds, showcasing remarkable consistency in his first season in the ASB1000 class. His achievements include multiple podium finishes and significant contributions to the JDT Racing Team’s competitive presence in the championship.
The season title went to Yuki Kunii, who displayed dominant form throughout the year, amassing 183 points to secure the championship.
Hafizh’s debut season success positions him as a strong title contender for the 2025 ARRC season. His determination and adaptability promise exciting prospects for the future as he continues to push the limits in the ASB1000 category.
