Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced a significant media partnership deal with BG Sports in Thailand, covering select AFC competitions from 2024 to 2029.
This partnership will grant Thai fans access to various AFC matches, including the AFC Asian Qualifiers™ – Road to 26, the AFC Champions League Elite™, AFC Champions League Two™, and the AFC Women’s Champions League™, with the inaugural season starting in 2024/25.
BG Sports will broadcast matches, particularly those involving Thai teams, through their YouTube channel and selected free TV platforms, ensuring broader access for passionate Thai football supporters. This deal will enhance fans’ ability to follow their favorite teams, aligning with the AFC’s mission to elevate Asian football.
AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John expressed excitement about this collaboration, stating, “We look forward to working in close cooperation with BG Sports to bring more thrilling action to our fans in Thailand.”
Kittisak Jirapasuksakul, Executive Director of BG Sports, emphasized their commitment to creating a “home for Asian football,” while Patrick Murphy, CEO of Asia Football Group (AFG), praised the digital accessibility provided by BG Sports.
This partnership strengthens Thailand’s connection to Asian football and showcases BG Sports’ dedication to enhancing the viewing experience for fans across the region.
