Coach Park’s teachers and students will meet the Japanese team in the last match. At this time, the Japanese team has definitely won tickets to the World Cup final round of 2022, so the second leg against Vietnam is only procedural.

Team Vietnam and Oman closely engaged in the first half. The away team held the ball more than 60%, but only had 4 shots, with one situation on target. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team finished twice and both failed to hit the target.

In the second half, Coach Park brought Cong Phuong to replace Tuan Anh. The Vietnamese team’s game immediately improved, as the midfield got better at holding the ball and creating many sharp coordination situations.

The opportunity was given to Que Ngoc Hai in 2 consecutive shots in the 60th minute, but failed. Vietnamese players reacted to the referee when they thought that Ngoc Hai shot the ball and touched the hand of an Oman player in the forbidden area. But the referee heard from the VAR team and decided not to blow the penalty.

The Vietnamese team once again lost because of a corner. Oman only enjoyed 2 corners in this match, and a situation where Al-Hajri took advantage of the opportunity to succeed. Meanwhile, 11 corners of the Vietnamese team, in many different ways, were not effective.

Coach Park strengthened his attack by bringing Le Van Xuan and Ha Duc Chinh into the field. Previously, Nguyen Van Toan replaced Nguyen Tien Linh who was injured.

After the opening goal, the Vietnamese team still held the ball actively and organized many dangerous attacks. Pham Tuan Hai was given a chance to face the goalkeeper in the 85th minute, but the striker wearing the number 6 shirt shot the ball out.

The Vietnamese team played on par with Oman in this match. The percentage of holding the ball is only 2% difference in favor of the away team. The number of shots on target of the two teams is equal (3 situations). And the correct pass rate of both teams is also equal (75%).

Regarding the number of dangerous opportunities, the Vietnamese team is overwhelming. In the second half, goalkeeper Ibrahim Saleh Al Mukhaini of the away team struggled to save a free kick from Quang Hai.
