Selangor FC has officially confirmed the departure of defender Umarbek Eshmurodov following the conclusion of his contract in December 2024.
The Uzbekistan international was the first foreign player signed by the Red Giants for the 2024/25 season, marking his debut in overseas football.
Signed in February 2024, Umarbek brought stability and grit to Selangor’s defensive line. His time with the club saw him make 18 appearances across multiple competitions, including the Malaysia Super League, FA Cup, Malaysia Cup, Challenge Cup, and AFC Champions League Two.
Umarbek’s contributions were significant, with the defender registering 1 goal, 1 assist, and playing a pivotal role in securing 8 clean sheets for the team. His performances were marked by consistency and dedication, quickly making him a key figure in the squad.
