Datuk Ong Kim Swee, head coach of Sabah FC said that weaknesses including the combination of players during the pre-season action for the Sabah Maju Jaya Cup (SMJ) and hopes to restore team strength ahead of the first match of Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 matchday 1 on 12 May.
He admitted that he had learned a lot in the four matches during the campaign, as well as the opportunity for all players to get game minutes in preparation for Liga Super Malaysia.
“We learned a lot here (SMJ Cup tournament), not only strengths, weaknesses and injuries, but also what we do in all matches, many players are given the opportunity to play.” OKS said.
“So, I hope we will recover fully before we play next week,”
“Many matches don’t have very good combinations, but this is our goal in holding invitational matches so that we can identify weaknesses.”
“If we don’t have friendly matches, we certainly won’t know about our weaknesses. So, I hope we can do better than what we showed in the four SMJ Cup matches,”
