Dr.Johan Kamal Hamidon, CEO of Selangor FC said the club demanded better performance from the team. After match lost to PJ City with a score of 0-1 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2022 yesterday.
“The results of the last few matches are unacceptable. This is not the level Selangor should be. The club demands more from the team and they have no excuse to fail on the pitch,” said Dr.Johan.
The defeat at the hands of PJ City saw the Lembak Klang club suffer defeat in the last five matches they faced where the last time the Nidzam Jamil-led squad won a match was against Sabah in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The level of fan anger is at its peak where after the action against PJ City, a group of fans waited for the team at the entrance of the stadium to get an explanation of what is actually happening in the team at the moment.
The fans also requested that the team management hold a meeting with the supporters to explain the team’s uncertain performance at the moment.
In the next Super League action, Selangor will go down against the league leader Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) and if they lose, it is highly likely that Selangor will fall to 11th place.
They are currently only separated by the number of goals scored by PJ City who are in 10th place and by two points with Sarawak United who are in 11th place.
