Jordan national team reached to semi-final for the first time, after beating Tajikistan national team scoring 1-0 in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Quarter-Final at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
In this game, Tajikistan was the side that was open to attacking Jordan and got the opportunity but couldn’t convert it into a goal.
In the remaining time of the first half, there was no additional score, ending the first half both tied 0-0.
In the second half, Jordan was the side back to attack and got more opportunities.
In the 66th minute, following Jordan’s free-kick and Mahmoud Al Mardi’s crossing to Alisher Dzhalilov’s shot, but Vahdat Hanonov missed blocked to own goal, Jordan led 1-0.
In the remaining time, Tajikistan almost got an equalizer goal but did not score, ending Jordan winning 1-0 and advancing to the Semi-Final.
In the Semi-Final, Jordan will face winner between Australia and Korea Republic.
