Marc Marquez reminded the world of his legendary status in dominant fashion, becoming the first rider since 2015 to top every session across a MotoGP weekend, capping it off with a flawless victory at the GoPro Grand Prix of Aragon.

On home turf and in front of a roaring Spanish crowd, the Ducati Lenovo Team rider delivered a masterclass at MotorLand, clinching his seventh Aragon win and further tightening his grip on the 2025 MotoGP World Championship with a 32-point lead.

From Free Practice to the Grand Prix, Marc Marquez was in a league of his own. Sunday’s race was less a contest and more a coronation. After launching cleanly from pole, he grabbed the holeshot and never looked back — setting multiple fastest laps along the way, including a blistering 1:47.180, as he effortlessly extended his lead lap by lap.

This was Marquez at his ruthless best, silencing doubters and affirming that his return to Ducati has reignited the fire that once made him untouchable.

“To lead every session and win like this in front of my home fans — it’s something special. I’m riding with full confidence, and this win is for the team and for Spain,” said Marquez.

While Marc surged ahead, the battle for the remaining podium spots was fierce. Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing) and Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) duked it out in a gripping duel that saw both riders unleash their best pace in the closing laps, dipping into the 1:46s.

Alex ultimately held off Bagnaia to secure a crucial P2 finish, limiting the damage in the title race, while Bagnaia showed signs of his old brilliance with a solid P3, a major morale boost after a turbulent start to his 2025 campaign.

Behind the front three, the action was chaotic. Pedro Acosta delivered another mature ride for P4, staying close early but falling just short of the podium pace. Franco Morbidelli and rookie Fermin Aldeguer engaged in a fierce yellow-vs-blue Ducati fight for P5, which Morbidelli eventually won.

Meanwhile, Joan Mir produced his best result since 2023 with P7, and Marco Bezzecchi stole the spotlight with a sensational comeback from 20th to 8th.

However, the race was not without heartbreak. Sprint podium finisher Brad Binder crashed out early, joined later by Fabio Quartararo, Johann Zarco, and Maverick Viñales, all victims of Aragon’s unforgiving layout.

Marc Marquez now heads into Mugello with momentum, a 32-point advantage over Alex Marquez, and the aura of a champion reborn. If there was ever doubt about his ability to dominate in this new era, Aragon silenced it.

The rest of the paddock has been put on notice: The King is back — and he’s not slowing down.
