Kuching City FC extended their impressive start to the Liga Super Malaysia 2025/26 after thrashing Imigresen FC 4-0 at Stadium Negeri, Kuching.
Backed by a roaring home crowd, The Cats showcased their dominance with a clinical display that left the visitors with little room to respond.
The first half saw both sides evenly matched, with possession and chances shared. However, Kuching City struck first in the 29th minute when Ramadhan Saifullah curled a brilliant effort into the right corner of the net, sending the home fans into celebration.
Just three minutes into the second half, Daniel Asri doubled the advantage with a sharp finish in the 48th minute. Despite Imigresen FC’s attempt to regroup under head coach Yusri Che Lah, Kuching City’s relentless pressing proved too much.
Daniel Asri struck again in the 64th minute, completing his brace after latching onto a precise delivery from Ronald Ngah Wanja, effectively putting the game beyond the visitors.
The night got even better for Kuching City when Petrus Shitembi added the fourth goal in the 75th minute, ensuring the scoreboard reflected the hosts’ superiority.
The resounding victory cements Kuching City’s status as one of the early contenders in the league, as they remain unbeaten in their last three outings. With 10 points collected from five matches, The Cats are gaining momentum and confidence heading into their upcoming fixtures.
