JDT Racing Team has issued an official statement confirming that the incident involving riders Hafizh Syahrin (JDT Racing Team) and Zaqhwan Zaidi (Honda Racing Malaysia) during ASB1000 Race 2 of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) 2025 has been thoroughly reviewed and resolved by the Race Direction.
According to JDT Racing Team, appropriate penalties have been issued in accordance with the championship’s regulations. The team emphasized that the matter was handled professionally by all parties, and that both JDT Racing and Honda Racing Malaysia have since resolved the issue amicably, maintaining mutual respect and professionalism between teams and riders.
“The incident was deemed unintentional — a result of close and competitive racing that is part and parcel of motorsport,” the statement read.
The team also highlighted that safety, integrity, and sportsmanship remain top priorities, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the highest standards in collaboration with race organisers.
Looking ahead, JDT Racing Team expressed its determination to focus on upcoming rounds of the championship, united by a shared vision to elevate Malaysian motorsport to greater heights.
