Korea Republic U17 national team, collect first 3 points after beated Qatar U17 national team with a score of 6-1 in the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2023 Group stage, Group B at Pathum Thani Stadium.

South Korea scored an early goal. Captain Kim Myeong-jun scored the first goal with a penalty. Korea’s lead did not last long. 3 minutes later, the ball was lost in a rear build-up situation. This led to a mistake.

The mistake became a remedy. Having straightened up their battle lines, Korea showed sharp claws. In the 20th minute of the first half, Baek In-woo split the net with his head after Yang Min-hyuk broke down the side and lifted the ball.

Korea’s scoring streak has begun. In the 31st minute of the first half, Yoon Do-young, who caught the ball from the right flank, showed off his splendid individual skills. After passing the opposing defender with a dribble, he finished it directly with his left foot.

Even in the second half, Korea’s firepower did not cool down. At the beginning of the second half, Yang Min-hyeok, who penetrated the side, sent the ball to the gate. Kim Myung-jun took a step further with a concise finish. Yang Min-hyeok showed off his breakthrough ability again. In the 10th minute of the second half, he stripped the opponent’s defender off with perfect individuality. Baek In-woo lightly pushed the ball that was handed out.

Korea scored an extra goal with fantastic play. In the 15th minute of the second half, Park Seung-su’s cross was connected by Yoon Do-young with a bicycle kick. The goalkeeper blocked it, but Kim Myung-jun shot again, completing a hat-trick and a great victory.
