Malaysia’s mixed doubles stars Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei delivered a show of resilience and championship pedigree to clinch the Indonesian Masters title after a hard-fought comeback victory over Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen–Alexandra Boje at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.
The reigning world champions endured a sluggish start and surrendered the opening game 15-21, but the world No. 4 duo responded in emphatic fashion, raising their intensity and composure to storm back with a 21-17, 21-11 win in the next two games.
Displaying sharp tactical adjustments and renewed aggression, Tang Jie–Ee Wei gradually wrested control of the match, leaving the Danish pair struggling to cope with the Malaysians’ pace and precision in the decider.
The triumph marked Tang Jie–Ee Wei’s first title of the year, setting a strong tone for their 2026 campaign on the BWF World Tour.
Adding further significance to the victory, the Indonesian Masters crown also served as sweet revenge for the Malaysian pair, who had previously fallen to world No. 10 Christiansen–Boje in the semi-finals of the Macau Open last year.
