Kelantan Red Warrior FC has expressed confidence that the Malaysian Football League (MFL) will make a fair, wise and transparent decision regarding the club’s potential participation in the 2026/27 Liga Super Malaysia, insisting there is no need to rush the process.
Club President Dato’ Muhamad Zaki Harun said KRWFC fully respects the league authority and believes any final ruling will be made in the best interests of Malaysian football.
Responding to the latest developments surrounding the Super League lineup, Muhamad Zaki stressed that the club remains patient while awaiting MFL’s decision.
“We accept the statement with full respect, positivity and openness. We have complete confidence that MFL, as the governing body of Malaysia’s professional football league, will make the right, fair and wise decision for the good of Malaysian football.”
Rather than applying pressure, the club says it is prepared to respect whatever decision is ultimately reached.
Muhamad Zaki believes KRWFC has every reason to feel optimistic should the club be awarded a place in the Super League.
According to him, a return to Malaysia’s top flight would not come as a surprise because the club earned its opportunity through performances on the pitch.
“If we are entrusted with a place in the Super League, it should not be viewed as something unexpected. Our presence would be based on merit and our achievements on the field.”
He highlighted the club’s commitment throughout the A1 Semi-Pro League, where management, players and staff sacrificed enormously with one clear objective—to earn promotion to the highest level of Malaysian football.
For Muhamad Zaki, promotion represents far more than a sporting achievement.
He described the ambition of returning to the Super League as a dream shared not only by the club but also by thousands of loyal supporters across Kelantan.
“Playing in the Super League is not only the dream of the management and players. It is the hope of every loyal supporter and the people of Kelantan who have stood firmly behind this club.”
“Their unwavering support continues to motivate us to keep moving forward.”
The KRWFC president reflected on the club’s difficult journey over recent years, saying the current management had been forced to rebuild after inheriting numerous challenges that were not of their own making.
“Our journey has not been easy. It has been filled with obstacles, challenges and hardship.”
“We had to clean up the damage and the dark legacy left behind, even though none of it was caused by us.”
Instead of dwelling on the past, Muhamad Zaki said the club chose to rebuild with determination and restore the pride of Kelantan football.
With MFL’s decision still pending, Muhamad Zaki urged supporters to remain united and continue believing in the club’s ambitions.
“Let us continue this journey together and pursue what we believe is rightfully ours.”
“Keep praying for the best and be ready to fill our historic stadium once again if we return to the Super League.”
He concluded with the club’s rallying cry:
“Focus, Fight and Conquer. Gomo Kelate Gomo.”
While uncertainty remains over the final composition of the 2026/27 Liga Super Malaysia, Kelantan Red Warrior FC has made its position clear.
The club believes its performances have earned consideration for promotion and remains confident that MFL will reach a decision based on fairness, sporting merit and the long-term interests of Malaysian football.
For Kelantan’s passionate supporters, the wait continues—but so does the belief that the Red Warriors could soon return to Malaysia’s biggest football stage.
