Malaysia has officially taken another major step towards hosting Southeast Asia’s biggest multi-sport spectacle following the launch of the official logo, mascot and theme for the 34th SEA Games and 14th ASEAN Para Games Malaysia 2027.
The official identity of Malaysia 2027 was unveiled on Monday, 13 July 2026, at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, by Youth and Sports Minister Y.B. Dr. Mohammed Taufiq Johari, marking the formal beginning of the country’s journey towards hosting the region’s premier multi-sport Games.
The historic launch was attended by several prominent figures from Malaysia’s sporting community, including Olympic Council of Malaysia President and Southeast Asian Games Federation President Tan Sri Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Mohamad Norza Zakaria.
Also present were Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Y.B. Mordi Bimol, Paralympic Council of Malaysia President Dato’ Sri Megat D. Shahriman Dato’ Zaharudin, representatives from the four host clusters and senior officials from the Malaysia SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC).
The 34th SEA Games is scheduled to take place from 18 to 29 September 2027, with competitions spread across four major clusters — Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang and Johor.
At the heart of the newly unveiled identity is “TUAH”, the official mascot inspired by the image of a modern, confident and approachable hero.

Designed to represent the brave, positive and competitive spirit of Malaysia’s new generation, TUAH also celebrates diversity as one of the nation’s greatest strengths.
The mascot will be presented in two versions for the SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games respectively, embodying the values of inclusivity, resilience, excellence and human potential.
Malaysia 2027 will carry the official theme “Raikan Perpaduan / Celebrating Unity”
The theme reflects the belief that unity remains one of the greatest strengths of both Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian community, with sport serving as a powerful platform to bring nations and people together.
The official Malaysia 2027 emblem incorporates six key design elements, each carrying a significant meaning.
The letter “M” represents Malaysia as a progressive host nation, while the silhouette of an athlete in motion symbolises sporting excellence and determination.
The stylised number “27” represents the year 2027, while the Bunga Raya, Malaysia’s national flower, reflects unity, harmony and national identity.
The vibrant colours inspired by the Jalur Gemilang represent national pride, while an 11-ring motif symbolises the eleven Southeast Asian nations united through friendship, solidarity and sportsmanship.
