Safwan Mazlan, defender of Malaysia national team from Terengganu FC is determined to repay head coach Kim Pan Gon’s trust after being selected in the national training camp ahead.
Safwan has called by KIm Pan-Gon to join in centralized training camp to prepare for FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 Group D matchday 5-6 in June.
“Honestly, I was surprised and couldn’t believe my name was on the national squad list ahead of next month’s qualifying round.” Safwan said.
“This is because I haven’t played for a long time due to injury after playing against Uzbekistan during the day, this call is the second with the senior squad.”
“Thank you so much to the coaching staff of the national squad led by Pan Gon for trusting me once again.”
“God willing, I will not miss this golden opportunity to help the national squad,”
Malaysia will be in action for the fifth match of Group D against the Kyrgyz Republic on Thursday, 6 June 2024, at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, Bishkek before flying home for the sixth match against Chinese Taipei at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, on Tuesday, 11 June 2024.
