Malaysian Football League (MFL) has officially announced a new date for the highly anticipated Unifi Piala Malaysia 2024/25 Final.
The final will now take place on 26 April 2025 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium (SNBJ), with kickoff set for 9.00 PM.
Originally scheduled for 12 April 2025, the 98th edition of the final had to be reconsidered following an official request from Sri Pahang FC and agreement from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT). After extensive discussions and feedback from the finalist teams and their supporters, MFL determined that shifting the date would better accommodate fans’ travel plans.
The primary reason behind this decision was the challenge faced by fans in obtaining tickets due to the original date coinciding with the early stages of Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. Many supporters voiced their concerns about travel logistics and availability, prompting MFL to take action to ensure a more inclusive and vibrant atmosphere at SNBJ.
MFL also confirmed that all physical and e-tickets purchased for the 12 April 2025 fixture will remain valid for the rescheduled final on 26 April 2025. Fans can use their existing tickets without any additional procedures, ensuring a seamless transition to the new date.
With the revised scheduling, MFL will also be making necessary adjustments to the remaining Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 fixtures for the 2024-2025 season. Details of these changes will be announced in due course.
The shift in date is expected to enhance the grand finale experience, ensuring a packed stadium with passionate fans from both JDT and Sri Pahang FC. As one of the most prestigious tournaments in Malaysian football, the Unifi Piala Malaysia Final promises an electrifying showdown at SNBJ on 26 April 2025.
