Terengganu FC has confirmed its participation in an international friendly tournament hosted by the Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization in Thailand. The matches will take place at the Tinsulanonda Stadium, Songkhla, from October 10–12, 2025.
The charity event will feature four clubs: Terengganu FC, Songkhla FC, Buriram United, and BG Pathum United, offering valuable international exposure for Badrul Afzan Razali’s squad. TFC will face hosts Songkhla FC, while Buriram United are set to clash with BG Pathum United.
Organizers emphasized that beyond football, the matches aim to strengthen sporting friendships, boost local interest in the game, and encourage healthy lifestyles through wider community participation in sports across Songkhla province.
TFC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Farouk Sheikh Mohamed Al-Bajrai expressed his pride in the invitation, noting both the competitive and social impact of the event.
“This is truly an honor for Terengganu FC. Our involvement in Asian and ASEAN-level competitions has highlighted the quality of our squad, and this invitation reflects that recognition. We are equally delighted that all proceeds from the matches will go towards purchasing sports equipment for schools in need and supporting community sporting activities in Songkhla,” said Sheikh Farouk.
Meanwhile, Suphit Phithaktham, CEO of the Songkhla Provincial Administrative Organization, stressed the significance of Terengganu FC’s presence in fostering bilateral ties.
“We sincerely hope Terengganu FC’s participation will enhance cultural and sporting relations between Thailand and Malaysia,” he remarked.
The tournament is expected to draw strong local interest, with football fans eager to witness high-quality matches while contributing to a charitable cause.
