Aston Villa have strengthened their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign by confirming two additional pre-season matches in Asia, while also announcing a revised date for their friendly against Real Sociedad.
Unai Emery’s side will embark on an extensive pre-season schedule that includes fixtures across England, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Germany, as the UEFA Europa League holders gear up for another demanding campaign.
Villa will first travel to Jakarta, Indonesia, where they are set to face the Indonesia All Stars at the iconic Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday, August 1, with kick-off scheduled for 7:00 pm local time.
The Premier League side will then continue their Southeast Asian tour with a visit to Thailand, taking on BG Pathum United at True BG Stadium in Pathum Thani on Tuesday, August 4. The match will kick off at 7:30 pm local time and is expected to attract significant interest from football fans across the region.
Before heading to Asia, Aston Villa will host Spanish side Real Sociedad, although the fixture has been moved from its original date.
The friendly will now be played on Tuesday, July 28 at Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, with kick-off at 7:30 pm.
