Laos Football Federation (LFF) has announced a financial reward of 100 million Lao kip(RM18,159) for the country’s senior women’s national team following their historic qualification for the AFF Women’s Cup 2026 semi-finals.
The incentive was approved by the LFF Executive Committee as a gesture of appreciation and motivation for the coaching staff and players after their impressive campaign at the regional tournament, which is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 8 to 22 July 2026.
According to the federation, the bonus is intended to recognize the team’s achievement in reaching the last four and to boost morale ahead of their biggest match of the competition.
The LFF also confirmed that an additional financial reward will be provided if the Lao women’s team advances to the final, underlining the federation’s commitment to supporting the squad as they chase a historic title.
Laos will now face Cambodia in the first semi-final on 19 July 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium, with a place in the AFF Women’s Cup final at stake.
