Port FC has officially taken the next step toward their historic regional debut after confirming the submission of PAT Stadium, Bangkok, as their primary home venue for the Shopee Cup 2026/27.
The club has formally informed the ASEAN Football Federation of its venue selection, with Thammasat Stadium designated as the reserve stadium should any contingency plans be required during the competition.
Port FC have expressed full confidence in the readiness of PAT Stadium, one of Thailand’s most iconic football venues, to host matches in ASEAN’s premier club competition.
The next stage of the process will see AFF competition officials conduct comprehensive inspections covering infrastructure, facilities, operational requirements, and tournament standards before final approval is granted.
The club’s management remains optimistic that the venue will meet all requirements, allowing the famous Khlong Toei-based stadium to become the stage for some of Southeast Asia’s biggest club football encounters next season.
The upcoming Shopee Cup campaign marks a significant milestone for Port FC.
The club secured qualification for the tournament for the first time in its history after lifting the Muang Thai Cup 2025/26, earning the right to represent Thailand on the regional stage.
The achievement provides Port FC with an opportunity to test themselves against many of ASEAN football’s elite clubs while further enhancing the club’s growing reputation within the region.
For supporters, the prospect of hosting continental-caliber opposition at PAT Stadium adds another layer of excitement to what is already expected to be a landmark season.
The competition format will feature 14 clubs divided into two groups of seven teams, creating a challenging route to the knockout stages.
With several regional giants expected to participate, the draw could produce a number of high-profile matchups that would immediately capture the attention of football fans across Southeast Asia.
