In a groundbreaking moment for Thai motorsports, Honda has made history by becoming the first and only motorcycle brand to field Thai riders in all three MotoGP classes — MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 — in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship.
At the heart of this historic achievement is Nakarin Atiratphuvapat, who returns to the world stage with Idemitsu Honda Team Asia to compete in the Moto2 class via a wildcard entry. His campaign begins at the Aragon Grand Prix in Spain, taking place from June 6–8, 2025, at the legendary MotorLand Aragon circuit.
Nakarin, a seasoned Thai rider and champion of multiple Asian-level competitions such as Asia Road Racing, Malaysia Superbike, and BRIC Superbike, previously competed full seasons in Moto3. Now, he sets his sights higher in the more demanding Moto2 class.
This move unites Nakarin with fellow Thai riders Somkiat Chantra (MotoGP) and Tatchaorn Buasri (Moto3), creating an all-Thai presence across every MotoGP tier — a first in Thai motorsports history.
