The Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Football League (MFL), Datuk Stuart Ramalingam, praised Perak FC’s proactive actions in efforts to combat the sale of counterfeit products by ‘piracy pirates’.
“This is a good effort by the management of Perak FC together with the sponsor Cheetah and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Selangor to detect and eliminate the sale of counterfeit club goods, especially official club jerseys by these irresponsible parties.
“For the MFL, this action will send a clear message to the parties concerned not to arbitrarily produce fake products that have a negative impact on the income of Malaysian League clubs as well as the national football sports industry.
“It is the responsibility of all parties, including the supporters, to fight against pirated goods for the sake of continued income and the financial stability of the clubs,” he said.
