Melaka United (MUFC) was resolved issue of salary arrears. When they fulfilled their promise to settle the player’s salary that was in arrears for 3 months.
This resolve was confirmed by the Professional Players Association of Malaysia (PFAM) after receiving information from the players that the Melaka United management had cleared the 3 months arrears as previously claimed.
“PFAM would like to congratulate the players who dared to come forward to make a report and also thank the MUFC management led by its owner, Datuk Wira Justin Lim Hwa Tat and KenTeam who immediately resolved this issue. PFAM believes that under the management of Datuk Wira Justin after this, this matter will always be given attention to ensure that this issue will not recur in the future.” PFAM said in official statement
“PFAM also urges that this issue be used as an example by all teams to be immediately sensitive and resolve problems related to salary arrears immediately as the players have already carried out their responsibilities to the team,”
In addition, PFAM also expressed millions of appreciation to their patron, DYAM Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, for his concern in the welfare and rights of the players, and most recently, in the issue of resolving the salary arrears of Melaka United players.
Meanwhile, Zainal Abidin Hassan head coach of Melaka United is relieved that the salary arrears issue has been resolved and he can now focus on preparing the team for the new season of the Malaysian League.
“Even though Melaka United was hit by the issue of salary arrears last season, me and the team at that time still put our trust in the club by continuing to give our best throughout the Super League and Malaysia Cup competitions.” Zainai said
