The prestigious Maybank Championship returns for its third edition from 30 October to 2 November 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), uniting the world’s best golfers, vibrant ASEAN culture, and purposeful community engagement under one spectacular event.

This year’s championship promises not only world-class golf but also a rich celebration of regional heritage, creativity, and unity through immersive experiences within the Maybank Village.

The 2025 edition welcomes an extraordinary field of international and regional stars led by World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand, who already boasts two LPGA Tour wins this season. Joining her are defending champion Ruoning Yin (China) and 2023 winner Celine Boutier (France).

The field also features a host of global champions, including Grace Kim, Miyu Yamashita, Lottie Woad, Akie & Chisato Iwai, Rio Takeda, Angel Yin, A Lim Kim, and Olympic gold medallist Lydia Ko, forming one of the strongest line-ups on the 2025 LPGA calendar.

Representing Malaysia are Mirabel Ting, Ashley Lau, Kelly Tan, Liyana Durisic, and Genevieve Ling, proudly competing for the Tiger Trophy and a share of the USD 3 million prize purse, the richest in women’s golf within the region.

Highlighting ASEAN’s growing golf talent, the ASEAN Qualifier introduces emerging stars Kritchanya Kaopattanaskul, Achiraya Sriwong, Namo Luangnitikul, Cholcheva Wongras, and Kan Bunnabodee – reflecting the Championship’s commitment to nurturing opportunities for regional excellence.

Beyond the fairways, fans can explore ASEAN artistry and innovation at the Maybank Village, headlined by the Maybank Women Eco-Weavers programme — an initiative empowering more than 2,000 women across Southeast Asia through traditional textile weaving. Visitors can witness live demonstrations of this timeless craft that merges heritage with sustainable impact.

In partnership with the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), the Maybank Save a Heart campaign returns to provide life-saving cardiac care for children from ASEAN nations. Fans can support the cause by purchasing the Maybank Championship Umbrella for a minimum contribution of RM10, with all proceeds going directly to the Save a Heart fund.

The Balai Seni Art Series (BSAS) will once again transform art into an act of giving, featuring a curated selection from emerging Malaysian artists and past MyTiger Values Art Competition participants — reminding all that creativity, like sport, has the power to heal and unite.

The excitement continues with appearances by two-time Olympian Shah Firdaus, who will meet fans and share his journey of perseverance and sporting passion.

Families can enjoy hands-on activities at the MAE Kids Zone, which introduces children to financial literacy through the “Earn, Save & Spend with MAE” programme. Meanwhile, tech-savvy golf fans can take a swing at the MST × Maybank Championship Golf Simulator, offering prizes and challenges throughout the day.

The AI Tiger experience — an interactive digital tribute to Malaysia’s national animal — invites visitors to engage with this symbol of strength and unity in an entirely new way.

No event is complete without food, and at the Sama-Sama Lokal Bistro, guests can indulge in authentic local flavours and refreshments, with seamless cashless transactions available via MAE or Maybank Cards.

The Maybank Championship 2025 continues to embody its founding purpose — blending sport, culture, and social good into a celebration of unity in motion. From the fairways to the Maybank Village, every swing, every smile, and every act of giving contributes to a shared story of progress, resilience, and ASEAN pride.

“The Maybank Championship is more than a sporting event. It’s a platform for community connection, creative expression, and purposeful impact that inspires beyond the greens,” said a Maybank representative.
