The “Jeeno” Era is officially untouchable! In a heart-stopping finale at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course, Chonburi, World No. 1 Atthaya “Jeeno” Thitikul sent the Pattaya crowd into a frenzy, surviving a Sunday shootout to claim the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 crown.
It wasn’t just a win; it was a statement. By holding her nerve under immense home-crowd pressure, Jeeno secured her first LPGA title of the year and her first-ever victory on home turf on the world stage!
Starting the day with the target on her back, Jeeno showed exactly why she wears the crown. It was a rollercoaster ride on the Old Course.
She ignited the back nine with 6 clinical birdies despite conceded 2 bogeys, which threatened to open the door for the chasing pack, but staying “cool as a cucumber,” she carded a 4-under 68 to finish the tournament at a sensational 24-under-par (264).
However, Japan’s Chisato Iwai nearly pulled off the heist of the century! Iwai went on a rampage; she made double eagles today and fired a blistering 6-under in the final round. She pushed Jeeno to the absolute limit, finishing just one stroke shy at 23-under.
Meanwhile, South Korea’s Kim Hyo-joo proved her class again, rounds of consistency leading her to a solo third at 22-under.
With this historic victory, Jeeno joins an exclusive club of Thai legends. She becomes only the third Thai player to conquer the Honda LPGA Thailand, following in the footsteps of Ariya Jutanugarn(2021), and Patty Tavatanakit(2024).
Aside from the trophy and the glory, Jeeno walks away with a cool $270,000 (approx. RM1.05 million). More importantly, this victory acts as a massive “keep out” sign to anyone eyeing her top spot—she remains the indisputable World No. 1!
