Kelantan FC, a club in Liga Super Malaysia has announced a statement to make it clear that any defamatory statements made about our club or players are baseless and untrue. and will not tolerate any false, defamatory, libelous accusations or attempts to tarnish the club’s reputation.
Before, Kelantan FC was in a viral about Choi Moon-Sik, the South Korean head coach published by his agent on social media.
“It has come to our attention that there have been false and defamatory statements made about our soccer club in response to the recent decision to stand down our Ex-Head Coach by a certain Korean individual who claims to be the agent of the ex-Head Coach.” Kelantan FC said in official statement.
“We want to set the record straight and address these allegations directly whereby the Club’s decision to stand down the former Head Coach was made after a thorough investigation into allegations of inappropriate behavior. This decision was not made lightly, but in the best interest of our club, players, and the community. We take these allegations seriously and are committed to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for everyone associated with our club.”
“Kelantan FC wants to make it clear that any defamatory statements made about our club or players are baseless and untrue. We are proud of our players and their achievements, both on and off the field. We will not tolerate any false, defamatory, libelous accusations or attempts to tarnish the club’s reputation as a revenge against the club’s decision to stand down the former Head Coach.”
“We ask that everyone associated with our Club, including our fans and supporters, to show respect and support for our players and the decisions made by our club’s management.”
ALLEGATIONS ON ACCOMMODATION
“The individual had uploaded on their personal social media claiming that Kelantan FC did not provide suitable and comfortable accommodation for the former Head Coach, showing a picture of a broken sink in the bathroom.”
“However, based on evidence in Kelantan FC’s records, it was found that the alleged broken and unsuitable sink was actually in good condition and suitable for daily use when the accommodation was handed over to the former Head Coach.”
ALLEGATIONS ON FOOD FOR THE PLAYERS
“The individual also uploaded a picture alleging that the food provided by Kelantan FC to the players were only limited to rice and chicken. However, based on evidence in Kelantan FC’s records, the players were actually provided with a balanced meal consisting of carbohydrates such as rice and spaghetti, protein from chicken, and vitamins from fruits,”
ALLEGATIONS ON OVERDUE SALARY FOR 2 MONTHS
“The individual also repeatedly accused Kelantan FC of failing to pay player and club staff salaries, which were allegedly two months overdue. In fact, these claims are false as the club is committed to paying its players’ salaries on time and in full. Kelantan FC has made full salary payments to its players and will not allow any salary arrears to exceed two months as alleged by the individual.”
“Kelantan FC also wants to clarify that the individual is not an authorized agent registered or contracted with the club. Kelantan FC is considering taking appropriate legal action against this individual.”
“Therefore, Kelantan FC would like to remind local social media users to stop spreading false accusations by this individual and not to spread any defamation against the club.”
“Kelantan FC will not hesitate to take legal action against any individuals who attempt to tarnish the club’s reputation with malicious and false accusations. Nevertheless we appreciate the continuous support and dedication of our fans to Kelantan FC.”
