His Royal Highness Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, Sultan of Selangor, has issued a statement concerning an incident involving Faisal Halim, a player of Selangor, after he was hit by acid in front of the department store at Petaling Jaya, Selangor, yesterday.
“His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, expressed his concern over the latest violent incident involving the Selangor FC footballer, who is also a national player, Faisal Halim, today.”
“His Majesty as Patron of Selangor FC and DYTM Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah as Chairman of Selangor FC strongly condemn this immoral attack and want the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to investigate this incident to the root and find the cause so that the perpetrators can be arrested immediately . He also urged anyone with information to come forward and cooperate with the police.”
“His Majesty takes this incident seriously and wants the investigation to also include the possibility of involving malicious group activities or civil disobedience such as football hooliganism or hooliganism.”
“His Majesty is very disappointed and considers this kind of incident as extreme because it involves the lives of sportsmen.”
“His Majesty is worried that if incidents like this are not dealt with immediately, it will continue to worsen and may invite worse things in the future.”
“His Majesty prayed for Faisal Halim to return to normal health and be able to continue serving as a player for the Selangor FC team.”
