FIFA has officially lifted the suspension on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), reinstating its full membership and paving the way for Pakistan’s return to international football.
The decision comes after the successful conclusion of the PFF Extraordinary Congress on February 27, marking a crucial step in resolving governance issues and ensuring compliance with FIFA regulations.
In response, PFF expressed its gratitude to FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for their unwavering support in reviving Pakistan football. The federation also extended its congratulations to the entire Pakistan football community, celebrating a new chapter for the sport in the country.
With its membership fully restored, Pakistan is now set to return to competitive action on the international stage. PFF has confirmed the national teams will participate in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers and the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers
