Malaysia U19 National team won the title for a second time after beating Laos U19 National team with a score of 2-0 in the AFF U19 Championship 2022 final. at Patriot Candrabhaka Stadium, Bekasi.
Laos started pretty well when Anantaza Siphongphan made a volley header towards the goal as early as the fourth minute but Syahmi was more agile to push the ball out to save his goal.
Malaysia, who then showed more organized action, did not wait long to open the scoring when Muhammad Aliff Izwan Yuslan’s free kick was well quizzed by defender Muhammad Faiz Amer Runnizar in the 14th minute.
Despite playing on a poor field surface due to rain before the match, it did not directly affect the rhythm of both teams to show a fast game pattern.
However, their efforts to change position were denied by the bluntness of the finishers and the agility of their respective goalkeepers.
Aliff Izwan strengthened his position in the 76th minute when he who passed the control of the opponent’s defense did not have a problem to push the ball in as a result of a pass made by Muhammad Alif Farhan Fauzi
Although the opposing team did not give up to close the goal deficit, Hassan Sazali Waras’ men were strong to ensure that the AFF B-19 Championship trophy once again belonged to the country.
