Johor Darul Ta’zim have officially submitted their 29-man squad list to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the upcoming AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26.
JDT’s squad submission reflects their ambition to make a deep run in Asia’s top-tier competition, with the club registering 16 foreign players, a move that underlines their strength in depth and international flair.
However, only 26 players will feature in continental action. The Southern Tigers decided to omit Heberty Fernandes, the 37-year-old Brazilian striker and Thai League all-time top scorer, Spanish defender Iker Undabarrena, and Malaysian international Matthew Davies from the Champions League roster. The trio are expected to focus on domestic league duties this season.
