Malaysia’s National Teqball Team marked a historic breakthrough at the SEA Games, clinching five bronze medals across all categories in their first official appearance, a feat that underlines the nation’s rapid rise in the sport.
Even more impressively, Malaysia advanced to the semi-finals in every category, proving their competitiveness and depth against more established teqball nations in Southeast Asia.
Malaysia’s five bronze medals were secured by the following athletes:
- Men’s Singles: Ash Hameed Azmilaan Shahul Hameed
- Mixed Doubles: Nur Hidayat Ar Rashid & Nurul Syafiqah Jafri
- Women’s Singles: Nur Natasha Amyra Fazil
- Men’s Doubles: Muhammad Faris Farizal & Ahmad Eizlan Rakhli
- Women’s Doubles: Nurul Syafiqah Jafri & Nur Natasha Amyra Fazil
Their performances not only delivered medals but also showcased Malaysia’s technical growth, tactical maturity, and mental resilience on the international stage.
