The Petronas Sepang International Circuit (PSIC) has set an ambitious target of attracting 200,000 spectators to the 2025 Malaysian MotoGP, scheduled to take place from 24–26 October this year.
The goal marks a significant increase from last year’s record attendance of 184,923 fans. PSIC Chief Executive Officer, Azhan Shafriman Hanif, expressed confidence in hitting the target, citing the overwhelming demand for tickets—75% have already been sold.
“Judging from ticket sales and the rising enthusiasm among fans, we are confident the 200,000 target is realistic,” Azhan said.
To enhance the event experience, PSIC is introducing new attractions this year, including a pre-race electronic dance music (EDM) festival on 18–19 October, one week before the MotoGP action begins.
In a move to give back to the community, PSIC has also launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, pledging to donate RM1 from every ticket sold to the National Sports Trust Fund (KWASN).
Adding to the excitement, the Tiket Rahmah initiative will offer affordable tickets to make MotoGP accessible to fans from all walks of life. As part of a special promotion, a Buy-One-Free-One offer for Tiket Rahmah, priced at RM49.90, is available for 24 hours only, from 8:00 PM yesterday until 8:00 PM today on designated promotional dates.
The Malaysian MotoGP remains one of the country’s largest annual sporting spectacles, drawing both local and international fans eager to witness the world’s top riders battle it out on the iconic Sepang track.
With ticket sales surging and fresh attractions in place, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be the most attended Malaysian MotoGP in history.
