Football Association of Malaysia(FAM) appointed Juan Torres Garrido, a Spanish coach, to be the head coach of the Malaysia U20 national team.
Meanwhile, Juan Torres will be working 2 positions such as head coach of Malaysia U20 & U23 national teams.
This development was announced by the Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi, Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), at a media session after the EXCO Mesyuarat at Wisma FAM, today.
“FAM Executive Committee has approved that Juan Torres will take charge of the U20 squad as head coach. Juan Torres now holds the position of head coach of the U23 squad.” Deputy FAM said.
“Juan Torres Garrido controls the U20 squad, which will face the AFF tournament scheduled for June 2024 and the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers in September 2024,”
However, Garrido has an important task in the AFC U23 Asian Cup 2024, which will take place in Doha, Qatar, this April.
