Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC) is proud to announce the appointment of Coach Elavarasan Elangowan as the club’s new Head Coach ahead of the 2025/2026 season. Born on 5 January 1962, Elavarasan brings a wealth of experience and deep tactical knowledge to the KDN FC dugout.
A familiar and respected figure in Malaysian football, Coach Elavarasan has spent decades at the helm of various top-tier teams. His resume includes notable stints with Public Bank FC, Felda United, and PKNS FC, where he left a strong impression with his disciplined, results-driven coaching philosophy. Most recently, he served as Assistant Coach of the Malaysia national team (Harimau Malaya) under Kim Pan-gon, contributing to the squad’s strategic evolution at the international level.
Elavarasan’s leadership credentials were also on full display during his tenure as Head Coach of Sarawak United FC from February 2020. Under his guidance, Sarawak United finished as runners-up in the 2021 Malaysia Premier League, earning a coveted promotion to the Malaysia Super League 2022.
KDN FC’s decision to appoint Coach Elavarasan reflects the club’s commitment to experience, football intellect, and local insight. The management believes his in-depth understanding of the Malaysian football ecosystem, including the dynamics of Super League teams and players, makes him the ideal figure to lead KDN FC into a new era of competitiveness.
With the club aiming to elevate its status domestically, Elavarasan’s arrival is expected to inject renewed spirit, tactical stability, and competitive edge into the team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Elavarasan to Kelantan Darul Naim FC. His proven track record, deep knowledge of Malaysian football, and calm, strategic leadership are exactly what the team needs as we prepare for the challenges ahead,” said a KDN FC spokesperson.
