Cape Verde national football team has announced a packed international break, with three international friendlies scheduled, including a double header against Malaysia and a final clash against Georgia.
The training camp will kick off on May 26 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will conclude on June 9 in Kutaisi, Georgia, as the Blue Sharks prepare for upcoming competitive campaigns.
Head Coach Pedro Leitão Brito ‘Bubista’ has named a 34-man squad featuring a mix of seasoned internationals and emerging talent from clubs across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Cape Verde will first face Malaysia on May 29 at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium, with kickoff set for 9:00 PM local time (12:00 PM in Cape Verde).
A second match against the Harimau Malaya will be played on June 3 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, also at 9:00 PM local time. However, this match will be held behind closed doors, unlike the first which will be open to fans.
The international window wraps up on June 8, when Cape Verde travels to Kutaisi, Georgia, to face the host nation at the Ramaz Shengelia Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM local time (5:00 PM in Cape Verde).
Cape Verde enters these matches looking to fine-tune their squad and tactics ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and future World Cup qualifying campaigns. The friendlies against Malaysia and Georgia will offer vital experience and test squad depth against Asian and European opposition.
