Rising Malaysian-American Muay Thai sensation Johan Ghazali has officially accepted the challenge of his close friend and fellow rising star Ramadan Ondash, setting up one of the most anticipated clashes of the year at The Inner Circle 24.
The two 19-year-old prospects will square off under Muay Thai flyweight (125-135 lbs) rules at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, 31 July 2026. The event will be streamed exclusively for members via Live.ONEFC.com from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM (GMT+8).
The blockbuster matchup became reality after Ondash called out Ghazali immediately following his latest victory. Johan wasted little time responding through ONE Championship’s social media channels, embracing the challenge that fans around the world had been demanding.
Recognising the excitement surrounding the matchup, ONE officially booked the contest, turning one of the sport’s most talked-about dream fights into reality.
Although the pair share a close friendship outside the ring, neither fighter is expected to hold back once the opening bell sounds.
For Johan, pride and redemption are both on the line. Ghazali became the sixth athlete to earn a ONE Championship contract through ONE Lumpinee, bursting onto the scene with four consecutive victories before making a successful transition onto the global stage.
The teenage knockout artist has continued to impress with his aggressive style and rapid development, quickly establishing himself as one of Malaysia’s brightest combat sports talents.
However, his momentum was halted in April when he suffered the first major setback of his ONE career, losing by unanimous decision to Shimon at ONE Samurai 1.
Now, Ghazali returns with one objective—to rediscover his best form by defeating one of his closest friends and proving he still belongs among the elite contenders in the flyweight division.
A convincing victory would immediately reignite his momentum toward title contention.
Ondash has enjoyed an equally impressive rise through the ONE ranks.
The Lebanese star became the 28th athlete to secure a ONE Championship contract through ONE Lumpinee after compiling four straight victories.
He later earned a world title eliminator against Aliff Sor Dechapan for the right to challenge for the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship at ONE Fight Night 38 in December 2025. Despite a courageous performance, Ondash fell short via unanimous decision.
Determined to revive his championship ambitions, Ondash moved up to the flyweight division and immediately impressed, defeating experienced Thai striker Suriyanlek Por Yenying by unanimous decision at The Inner Circle 16 in May.
A victory over Ghazali would represent the biggest win of his career and firmly establish him among the leading contenders in the division.
While rankings and momentum are at stake, the storyline extends beyond competition.
Two young stars who have grown together inside the ONE ecosystem will now stand across from each other for the first time, with friendship temporarily put aside in pursuit of career-defining victory.
Both fighters possess explosive striking, relentless pressure and a willingness to engage, making this a contest that promises fireworks from the opening round.
With redemption driving Ghazali and momentum fueling Ondash, fans can expect an explosive battle worthy of the global attention it has received.
