Malaysia’s rising combat sports scene will once again be in the spotlight as three fighters fly the Jalur Gemilang at ONE Friday Fights 153, set to take place at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium on May 8.
The weekly showcase under ONE Championship continues to provide a global stage for emerging talents—and this time, Malaysia will be strongly represented across multiple Muay Thai bouts.
Leading the charge is Adam, who is scheduled to face France’s Enzo Clarisse in a strawweight Muay Thai contest. The bout is expected to test Adam’s composure and striking sharpness against a technically sound European opponent.
Another key Malaysian name on the card is Rifdean Masdor, who takes on Thailand’s Petkiattisak in an atomweight Muay Thai clash. Fighting a Thai opponent at Lumpinee is never easy, but Rifdean will be eager to prove his credentials on enemy territory.
Completing the Malaysian lineup is Wan Muhammad Sabri, who faces Mexico’s Aldo Cruz in a flyweight Muay Thai bout. Sabri’s matchup presents a stylistic challenge, with Latin American fighters often known for their aggressive forward pressure.
The event will be split into two segments:
- The Inner Circle (7:30 PM Malaysian Time) featuring rising prospects and international matchups
- ONE Lumpinee 153 Main Card (9:30 PM Malaysian Time) showcasing high-level Muay Thai and MMA bouts
Among the headline fights, Thai star Worapon meets France’s Tom Casse, while several regional talents from Southeast Asia, Japan, and beyond fill a packed fight card.
