JDT Racing Team has dropped a bombshell ahead of the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) season, officially unveiling Indonesian star Andi Farid Izdihar as their newest signing.
The 28-year-old ace, known to fans as “Andi Gilang,” leaves his long-time home at Astra Honda Racing Team to join forces with Malaysian icon and defending champion Hafizh Syahrin. Together, they form a star-studded lineup that will pilot the ferocious Ducati Panigale V4R in the premier ASB1000 class.
The switch to JDT means Andi Gilang gets his hands on the Ducati Panigale V4R. Under the ASB1000 regulations—which adhere closely to Superstock (standard factory) specs—the V4R is widely considered the superior machine compared to its Japanese counterparts.
This transfer marks a massive shift in the Asian racing landscape. Andi Gilang has been synonymous with Honda throughout his career. As a protégé of Astra Honda, he climbed the ranks to the world stage, notably competing in Moto2 (2020) alongside Thai star Somkiat Chantra at Honda Team Asia, before moving to Moto3 in 2021.
Now, he trades the Japanese “Wing” for the Italian “Beast.” This will be his first time competing in a full season aboard the Ducati Panigale V4R, the production bike that has dominated global superbike racing in recent years.
