Emerging duo Go Pei Kee / Teoh Mei Xing made quick work of Poland’s Paulina Hankiewicz / Kornelia Marczak, dispatching them 21-5, 21-6 in under 25 minutes.
Third seeds Pearly Tan / Thinaah Muralitharan showcased their dominance with a commanding 21-8, 21-12 win over fellow Malaysians Ong Xin Yee / Carmen Ting, continuing their upward momentum this season.
Goh Soon Huat / Lai Shevon Jemie [6] displayed tenacity and synergy, staging a thrilling comeback to defeat Indonesia’s Jafar Hidayatullah / Febi Pasaribu 18-21, 24-22, 21-15 in a crowd-pleasing contest.
