PDRM FC keep 3 points in their home after beating Sabah FC scoring 1-0 in the Liga Super Malaysia 2024/25 at Stadium MPS, Selayang.
Despite a fierce start by Sabah FC, which saw them launching continuous attacks from the first whistle, they were unable to convert their early chances into goals.
Sabah’s best early opportunity came in the fifth minute when Daniel Ting’s header, trying to connect with Joao Pedro’s cross, narrowly missed in front of the PDRM goal. The visitors had another scare in the 13th minute when Alif Naquiddin’s cross for PDRM FC led to a fumble by Sabah goalkeeper Damien Lim, but the ball, fortunately, went over the crossbar.
Both goalkeepers were in fine form, with Damien Lim denying a powerful attempt by Bruno Suzuki in the 26th minute, while Bryan See made a key save for PDRM FC, stopping Jafri Firdaus Chew’s effort in the 32nd minute.
The second half saw both sides struggle to break the deadlock despite several chances. It wasn’t until the 80th minute that substitute Ifedayo Olusegun made a decisive impact, scoring the lone goal for PDRM FC after a well-timed touch inside the box.
The hosts held on to their 1-0 lead until the final whistle, ending Sabah FC’s three-match winning streak and securing a vital home win.
