Sabah FC has officially announced a renewed partnership with global sportswear giant Adidas as the club’s official kit sponsor for the 2025/26 season, marking a significant return to collaboration after nearly a decade.
The German brand replaces Italian manufacturer Lotto, who had served as Sabah’s official apparel partner since 2021. The announcement was made via the club’s official channels, igniting excitement among fans ahead of the upcoming season.
“To all loyal supporters, we are proud to announce that Adidas is now the Official Kit Sponsor of Sabah FC for the upcoming season,” the club said in a statement.
“This is a major step forward for the team, and we can’t wait to share more with all of you. Let’s journey together through a season full of dreams and ambitions.”
This marks a reunion between Sabah FC and Adidas, who previously sponsored the team during two separate stints – from 2011 to 2013 and again from 2015 to 2016. The return of the globally renowned brand is seen as a strong statement of intent from the East Malaysian club as they aim to elevate their image both on and off the pitch.
With Adidas renowned for its high-performance kits and cutting-edge designs, the move is expected to enhance the club’s professionalism and international appeal.
The partnership also brings an end to Lotto’s four-year association with the club. Since 2021, Lotto has been a key figure in shaping the modern identity of Sabah FC, providing kits that accompanied the team through several memorable seasons in the Malaysian Super League.
Sabah FC expressed its appreciation for Lotto’s contributions but now looks forward to a new era under Adidas branding.
The highly anticipated new Sabah FC jersey by Adidas is expected to make its official debut during the ASEAN Charity Shield 2025, where Sabah FC will take on Thai giants Buriram United.
The match will serve not just as a curtain-raiser to the season but also as a symbolic new chapter for the club — outfitted in fresh colours and backed by one of the world’s most iconic sports brands.
