Jose Munoz, the head coach of Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, is placing significant focus on analyzing Terengganu FC’s tactical approach ahead of their Shopee Cup 2024/25 Group Stage, Group A clash tomorrow.
Munoz believes that his players are in top form, having delivered strong performances in the Cambodian domestic league, and are now ready to face Terengganu.
Speaking at a press conference, Munoz highlighted the overall strength of Terengganu’s squad, noting that even if changes are made to their lineup, the team still possesses quality players.
“Terengganu has a great squad and not just in the starting line-up. If they make a change, they still have quality players.” He said.
Munoz is particularly focused on Terengganu’s playing style, which is likely to be influenced by both local and foreign players.
“The important thing now is how Terengganu play, and certainly the focus players and import players will play a role in their style of play,” he emphasized.
He also noted that regardless of any potential substitutions, Terengganu’s playing pattern is expected to remain consistent, and understanding this identity will be key to Svay Rieng’s strategy. “The identity of the opposing team becomes our focus,” Munoz said.
Shopee Cup 2024/25 Group Stage, Group A match between Terengganu FC and Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng will kick off on August 21, 2024, at 9:00 pm at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, Gong Badak.
