Malaysia have announced a 23-player squad for Phase 1 of their centralised training camp as the Malaysia U19 side begins preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers in Vientiane, Laos.
Head coach Shukor Adan has called up 23 players for the first phase of camp, which runs from August 12 to August 23, 2026.
The squad features a strong representation from Johor Darul Ta’zim IV, Selangor FC 3 and 4, Akademi Mokhtar Dahari (AMD), as well as Visela FC.
Johor Darul Ta’zim IV provide the largest contingent with eight players, including Muhammad Amar Imran Uzaini Ashadi, Aisy Aqasha Noorazhar, Haziq Aziz Ahyok Abdul Qayyum and Muhammad Ilhaam Azani Mohd Azamin.
Tengku Hasyri Shah Meerza Tengku Hazman, Muhammad Naqif Firhad Mohd Shafarin, Adam Hakimi Mohd Zaki and Mohamad Fadhlul Hadi Zulkarnain complete the JDT IV group.
Selangor are also heavily represented, with eight players selected from Selangor FC 3 and Selangor FC 4.
The Selangor FC 3 contingent consists of Mohamad Helmi Ismail, Wan Raif Muqriz Shamsul Amri and Muhammad Airel Husainy Yusoff.
Meanwhile, Syazril Izwan Shairunizam, Ahmad Zidan Ahmad Fazly, Muhammad Awal Wafiy Ahmad Syukri, Muhammad Adib Rashidi and Muhammad Faizi Hafiz Hishamuddin represent Selangor FC 4.
AMD contributes six players, namely Adrian Muslim Sufian, Arfan Haziq Ahmad Marzuki, Mohamad Iman Danish Mohd Shukor, Muhammad Aufa Bazli Mohd Razif, Muhammad Iman Irfan Muhammad Hapis and Muhammad Syazani Yussairi Yusnazairi.
Kaveen A/L Shanmugesh Waran of Visela FC completes the 23-man squad.

The 23 players selected for Phase 1 are not yet the final squad for the continental qualifiers. After the first camp concludes, Shukor Adan will name another group for Phase 2, scheduled from August 24 to August 28, following the conclusion of SUKMA 2026.
The final 23-player squad will then be confirmed before the team travels to Vientiane on August 29.
Shukor Adan will be assisted by Lee Jeyoon as assistant head coach, Yong Wai Hwang as goalkeeper coach, Reuben Jude Balraj as fitness coach and Haru Chung as analyst.
Datuk Ong Kim Swee, Technical Director of the National Football Development Programme (NFDP), will serve as team manager.
Malaysia have been drawn in Group H of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers alongside Indonesia, Australia and hosts Laos.
The Harimau Malaya U-19 side will begin their campaign against Indonesia on August 31, before facing Australia on September 3.
Malaysia will then complete their group campaign against Laos on September 6.
All three matches will be played at the Lao National Stadium KM16 in Vientiane.
The qualification battle will be fierce, with only the eight group winners, seven best runners-up and hosts China earning places at the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027, which is scheduled to take place in March 2027.
