Buriram United head coach Mark Jackson believes his side are physically, mentally and tactically ready ahead of the second leg of the Shopee Cup 2025/26 final against Selangor FC on Wednesday night.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference at Buriram Stadium, Jackson stressed that his team now have a clearer understanding of Selangor’s strengths after meeting the Malaysian side recently.
“We just played against them last week, so we know exactly what to expect,” said Jackson.
“Every team can still adjust tactically, so we must remain careful, but playing at home gives us a very good opportunity to perform with the rhythm and game plan we have prepared.”
The Buriram boss also highlighted the importance of having a full week to recover and prepare for the decisive clash.
“It’s fantastic for recovery and for analysis. We had time to review the previous game carefully with the players and improve several tactical details.”
“We are not only ready physically and mentally, but tactically as well.”
Jackson also confirmed a major boost for the Thai champions with Brazilian striker Guilherme Bissoli returning to training ahead of the final.
“Bissoli is back in training and that gives the squad extra motivation. All the players are fit and ready for this match.”
Despite Selangor missing key players, Jackson warned against underestimating the Malaysian club.
“They are important players for Selangor, but I’m sure their coach already has solutions and replacements prepared.”
Holding a narrow advantage from the first leg, Jackson insisted Buriram cannot afford complacency as they chase regional glory in front of their home supporters.
