From heartbreak to heroics, Malaysian driver Hayden Haikal delivered one of the most electrifying performances of the weekend at the Thailand Super Series GT4 Category, bouncing back from a DNF in Race 1 to storm to second place in Race 2 alongside teammate Daniel for Racing Aurora.
After an unfortunate incident forced them out of the first race, Race 2 saw the pair start from the back of the grid—a position few expected would end in a podium finish. But Hayden and Daniel had other plans.
With laser focus, calculated aggression, and relentless pace, the Racing Aurora duo carved through the GT4 field, overtaking car after car in a masterclass of racecraft. Backed by flawless team strategy and pit work, their spectacular recovery culminated in P2 at the chequered flag—a result that stunned the paddock and thrilled fans.
“This was a weekend of emotions, but we never gave up,” said Hayden after the race. “After Race 1, we regrouped, stayed focused, and executed the plan perfectly. Huge thanks to Daniel and the entire Racing Aurora team. We showed what we’re made of.”
This performance sends a clear signal to their rivals—Racing Aurora is here to fight. The team’s resilience, professionalism, and fighting spirit have put them right back in championship contention.
Their comeback in Race 2 is more than just a result—it’s a statement of intent. With the pace and teamwork on display, Hayden Haikal and Daniel are now firmly among the top contenders in the GT4 field.
