After heartbreak struck in Race 1, Malaysia’s rising star Anaqi produced a sensational comeback performance in Race 2 of the Thailand Super Series C+ Class, finishing P4 in class and P6 overall in a masterclass of determination, grit, and pure racing brilliance.
Starting from P24 on the grid following a DNF in Race 1—caused by an unfortunate accident while running in podium position—Anaqi lined up for Race 2 with nothing to lose and everything to prove.
From the moment the lights went out, Anaqi launched a breathtaking charge up the order on the notoriously unforgiving Bangsaen Street Circuit. Combining razor-sharp overtakes, unwavering focus, and one of the fastest lap times of the race (2nd fastest overall), he gained 18 positions by the chequered flag.
“After yesterday’s disappointment, I knew I had to give everything,” Anaqi said post-race. “This one’s for the team, my supporters, and everyone who believed in me. We kept fighting — and we got our reward.”
Despite starting from deep in the field, Anaqi’s remarkable charge was enough to secure P4 in the C+ Class, narrowly missing out on a full podium finish, but firmly establishing himself as a top contender in the series.
His P6 finish overall in a grid packed with seasoned competitors is a testament to not just speed, but maturity beyond his years.
Anaqi’s comeback was not just about recovery — it was about making a statement. On a circuit known for its unforgiving barriers and tight turns, he delivered a clinical display of racecraft and resilience, reminding the motorsport world that true racers don’t crumble after a fall—they come back stronger.
