Chelsea FC etched their name into football history once again after sealing the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title with a commanding 3-0 victory over European champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a blockbuster final in New Jersey.
In a clash eagerly anticipated by fans around the world, the English giants showcased their class and composure to overpower PSG and lift the prestigious global crown.
All eyes were on Chelsea’s rising star Cole Palmer and he did not disappoint. The England international broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute, finishing off a superb move from the right with a clinical strike past PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Just eight minutes later, Palmer struck again. This time, he latched onto a pinpoint assist from Levi Colwill, calmly slotting home to double Chelsea’s advantage and put PSG on the back foot.
Before halftime, Joao Pedro, Chelsea’s new attacking acquisition, announced himself on the world stage. The Brazilian forward added Chelsea’s third goal, sending the travelling Blues supporters into a frenzy as the London club took a 3-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, PSG – featuring their feared attacking trio of Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue – tried to claw their way back into the contest. However, Chelsea’s disciplined defense and midfield dominance neutralized every attempt.
Despite a spirited fightback from the Parisians, Luis Enrique’s side failed to find a breakthrough, as Chelsea comfortably saw out the game to secure their second major international title of the decade.
With the final whistle, Chelsea FC were officially crowned 2025 FIFA Club World Cup champions, adding yet another chapter to their growing legacy on the global stage.
